Svenner Lighthouse is about 4.5 miles southeast of Stavern in Larvik municipality, in the southern Norwegian county Vestfold. Lit for the first time in October, 1874 and automated in 2003, Svenner stands 61 feet (18.7 meters) tall, 132 feet (40.3 meters) above sea level.

Svenner has been voted one of the most popular destinations by boating enthusiasts along the Oslofjord and southern coast of Norway.

There are two other lighthouses in Larvik municipality: Tvistein Lighthouse and Stavernsodden Lighthouse.

  • There are 19 beds in 6 bedrooms

  • Guests must bring sleeping bags, pillows, food, and water
  • The boathouse also has simple cooking facilities
  • Cool cellars are provided for storage of food and drink
  • Communal barbeques are available
  • Simple, but good toilet and washing facilites
  • Bookings can be made for up to three days
  • One cannot expect a private room
